Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to eliminate my Lactose Intolerance with SULMEDOL® ?

In most cases, just one bottle – a 50 day supply - is needed to restore lactose tolerance and allow you to enjoy dairy foods again. Results will vary for each individual depending on the severity of their condition. By taking just 1 capsule, twice daily immediately after meals, symptoms of lactose intolerance should begin to disappear - generally as soon as 2 weeks, or up to 12 weeks.

Can I continue to consume dairy products while taking SULMEDOL® ?

For best results, cease consumption of all foods containing dairy (except when testing for symptoms), including lactose-free dairy products.

Does SULMEDOL® permanently cure my lactose intolerance?

In many cases, yes. Relapse may occur; in which case, resume treatment as directed. Results vary for each individual.

Does SULMEDOL® work for other food intolerances?

No. SULMEDOL® only works for lactose intolerance.

Are there other products that should or should not be taken with SULMEDOL®?

It is important to be hydrated properly while taking SULMEDOL® . Also, SULMEDOL® works best when Vitamin B12 status is normal. If you suspect low Vitamin B12 status, use supplemental Vitamin B12 to correct low levels while using SULMEDOL® .

Are there other benefits to taking SULMEDOL®, besides lactase reactivation?

Research has found that SULMEDOL® may also lower homocysteine levels in the body. High homocysteine levels have been implicated in heart disease, poor bone health, and brain dysfunction.

How does SULMEDOL® differ from other forms of sulfur supplements, such as MSM or DMSO?

Sublimed sulfur (as used in SULMEDOL®) or “Flowers of Sulfur” are yellow flakes of sulfur created directly from a gas. It contains 99.5% pure, elemental sulfur along with 0.5% trace minerals. Sublimed sulfur and MSM (Methyl-Sulfonyl-Methane) or DSMO(dimethyl sulfoxide) are commonly confused, but they are very different substances. MSM and DMSO yield less elemental sulfur, and not in the sublimed form needed for lactose intolerance. Sulfur has a long history of safe use both internally and externally. Sulfur is the third most common element found in the human body and is found in all living tissue.

Where can I buy SULMEDOL®?

You can purchase SULMEDOL® at your local health food store, vitamin supplement centres, and various online health retailers.
